I rushed around to get ready, the phone ringing off the hook and me trying to remember everything I needed to do for the show, the reception and my date for hot tubbing with this sexy hunk after. It was almost too much for my blonde head to deal with. We finally managed to arrive, and all in one piece, at the theater, and parking for once was easy.
Right away, I noticed that there were quite a few of my friends and acquaintances standing in line. I had e-mailed a bunch of people about the event and was hoping some of them would attend. I had no idea how many of them were there till I got inside the small theater. It seemed like we were the majority of the 150-person, sold-out audience! There was an electricity in the air, and the anticipation and sexual tension hung over the crowd, reminding me of a teenage boy hoping to get laid!
We munched free popcorn, and Annie came out sparkling and shining like the star she is. She strutted around the stage like she owned the place, and for that time she did. She had on a sexy costume, and she looked remarkable! She explained that this was her journey back in time, spanning the last 20-plus years of her career in the porn industry, as a performance artist and as a Pleasure Activist. She then began the film clips. Despite a bit of technical difficulty, she joked and carried on as if nothing were amiss, narrating the clips as she went. Finally the sound came on, and she was able to really do her show.
She had fun with us and the presence of quite a large part of Seattle's sex-positive community -- we were all having a great time with the film clips and with her. I don't think she realized till the end what kind of a crowd she was playing to. We loved her no matter what she did! At one point, she came into the audience to give a massage and sat on the lap of my friend who was sitting directly in front of me. She thought he was really cute (he is!), and we all had a great time fondling and caressing her, which she encouraged with word and deed!
What a refreshing attitude! What an entertaining, sweet, sexy, strong and vulnerable girl! She led us through her beginnings in porn to the present, and along the way there were some interesting moments. I won't give away the highlights, but I will say that there were at least two times my date covered his eyes, and one time I did, and that's something!
The show was riotously funny, sincere, sexy and silly. Annie comes across as one who, somehow, after all her years in the porn industry, has retained her innocence in a sweet way. We stayed after the show for a little reception and had cake and chatted, some of us got autographed pictures (I got two!), and she was gracious and generous with her time.
Annie has been one of my idols for years, right up there with Mae West and Bette Midler! I found her to be just as charming and sweet as can be, not to mention she is one hot babe!
I recommend all of her videos, including Sluts and Goddesses, and I highly recommend this show! She will be gone from town by the time this comes out, so buy the video! Then you can watch her bounce over and over and over....
