`Tis the season once again to cuddle up in front of the fire with your favorite pillow and a good book. Let the other people scurry around like rats racing to get through another stress filled day. How long has it been since you took the time to rest your nerves and put up your feet? Our lives are so full of things we have to do. I truly believe that reading is an excellent way to unwind. This is what I'd like to talk to you about today, a book.

I read a book recently that was beautifully written and illustrated. It was called "The Holy Books of the Devas: The Secret Mythologies of the Herbal World" (fourth edition). The author is Rev. Paul Beyerl and Dianne Lorden did the artwork. Please don't let the herbal part throw you off. This is not a dull book, not by a long shot.

This is a story of the creation of nature and the beginning of all. It tells of the deepest secrets of the herbal devas and how they related to the goings on of nature with a fairytale story line. There was even a ritual meditation and theatrical performance for communicating with the herb devas. This is a well-written book that children as well as adults will enjoy.

Don't take my word for it though, read it and decide for yourself. You won't be disappointed with this purchase.

Read all you can get your hands on this winter and remember that its essential to feed your mind as well as your body. Knowledge is power in this crazy world and it is your job to pursue it.

Thanks for your time and Blessed Be!
