It is a time of winter. The ever-present clouds block out the sun, and occasional snow blankets the earth. It is a quiet time of waiting - waiting for the sun to return and the earth to be reborn.
It is also a time of wondering. What will the summer bring? What crops should be planted? Will I find a mate this year? At Imbolc, pagans often turn to divination to find the answers (or at least have fun pondering the questions). The theme of this issue of Widdershins is divination, in the spirit of helping our readers find answers they need.
