Yippee!!! This is my very favorite holiday and today is a Scorpio New Moon to boot!! Lots of intense, scary energy for communing with the ancestors. Today would also be a good day to focus on stuff you would like to heal that you've inherited from your ancestors and in turn heal them back through time.
The Moon will conjunct Mercury at 2 a.m. tomorrow and we'll probably feel that coming as our hearts start doin' our thinkin' and our heads begin to feel and we really start to connect with our true selves and are reborn and let go of the false masks we've been wearing!
Saturday 11/1
Today looks mighty peaceful, a good day to reflect on all that info yesterday brought. The Moon moves into Sagittarius at 8:27 p.m., heating things up a bit as she moves to conjunct Pluto tomorrow at 4:59 a.m.
Sunday 11/2
Today will feel the energy rising and we will feel in our hearts what we need to do to advance along our evolutionary paths.
Monday 11/3
The Moon/Saturn trine at 12:55 a.m. gives the day focus and inspiration. The Moon also spends the day moving to conjunct Mars at 9:38 p.m., also giving creative energy but maybe creating situations where feelings are trampled upon. Try to rise above and create positive interactions with the universe!! The Moon will conjunct Venus at 2:49 a.m. tomorrow, a good time to kiss and make up if things do go awry.
Tuesday 11/4
The Moon enters Capricorn at 4:31 a.m. and since there will be no more aspects today she'll just patiently await her good friend Venus' entrance into Capricorn at 12:50 a.m. tomorrow. These couple of days will be a bit serious as we focus on values and relationships and how they may hold us back in our lives.
Thursday 11/6
The early a.m. is all dreamy and introspective with a Moon/Neptune conjunction at 5:58 a.m. and the Moon sextile Mercury at 7:42 a.m. Things will be more exciting with the Moon entering Aquarius at 10:33 a.m. and then moving to conjunction with Uranus at 7:19 p.m.
Friday 11/7
Mercury will enter Sagittarius at 9:42 a.m, lightening the collective mood. And with the Moon/Jupiter conjunction at 10:24 a.m. and the first quarter Aquarius Moon at 1:43 p.m. today ought to be quite a party!
Saturday 11/8
This afternoon could turn gloomy with the Moon entering Pisces at 2:35 p.m., then squaring Mercury at 5:57 p.m. and Pluto at 10:38 p.m. making for some victim/martyr emotional scenes if we're not careful. Also, Mars moves into Capricorn at 9:33 p.m. where he's not so happy since his usually active, roguish lifestyle is suddenly asked to conform to proper standards of properness to which he is not naturally inclined!
Sunday 11/9
The Moon is in Pisces all day and the only aspect is a Sun/Moon trine at 8:33 p.m. Make peace with your fears and become one with the universe and listen for the sound of one hand clapping.
Monday 11/10
Mercury spends today moving to conjunct Pluto at 4:17 p.m. so expect some tough talk and astonishing revelations regarding spiritual evolution. The Moon will enter Aries at 4:44 p.m. and move to square Mars at 7:04 p.m., also creating an emotional firestorm, so watch out!! Mercury will sextile Uranus at 8:18 p.m., giving a glimpse into the opportunities all this energy has to offer if we'd only take a chance!
Tuesday 11/11
Today's Aries Moon is active and networkin' with the Universe! Work with her and the world is yer oyster!! The last aspect of the day will be a conjunction to Saturn at 4:35 p.m., so try to go easy on the squishy, emotional side of folks and see that they do the same for you.
Wednesday 11/12
The Aries Moon squares Neptune at 1:42 p.m. then is v.o.c. until
she enters Taurus at 5:45 p.m. The afternoon will probably be
a little unfocused but that Taurus Moon will
ground us out in no time and she'll be trining Mars at 10:43 p.m.,
giving lots of creative energy and the drive to accomplish much.
Thursday 11/13
Today could be a day of pleasure and/or overindulgence with the Taurus Moon trining Venus at 6:57 a.m. and squaring Jupiter at 5:03 p.m. but I'm not here to make judgement calls! The full Moon is early tomorrow a.m. and lunacy is the perfect excuse to party down!
Friday 11/14
Full Moon at 6:12 a.m. and then a lunar trine to Neptune at 3 p.m., plus the Moon is v.o.c. until she enters Gemini at 7:05 p.m. This means you have the perfect excuse for that hangover and even if you don't have one you'll feel like you do! @*#! The Gemini Moon should feel like a strong cup of black coffee.
Saturday 11/15
The Gemini Moon is blipping around, gathering information and formulating ideas all day! Try not to short circuit, give yourself time to process info before acting on it. Moon is v.o.c. at 7:35 p.m., so enjoy the evening but don't take it too seriously.
Sunday 11/16
Most of today is still that v.o.c. Gemini Moon so hang in there and just try to have fun with all those ideas. Moon enters Cancer at 10:32 p.m., and there are no aspects today so it's up to us how we enjoy the energy...but isn't it always?
Monday 11/17
The Cancer Moon will oppose Mars in Capricorn at 10:01 a.m., perhaps creating some conflicts between the cosmic mother and father. Try to see all sides in any tensions that may arise. The mood is lighter with Mercury sextile Jupiter at 3:35 p.m., breathing new life into our dreams and aspirations.
Moon and Venus will oppose at 8:41 p.m., but that's O.K. 'cause they're friends and they encourage and value each other and teach us to do the same
Tuesday 11/18
Not a whole lot going on today. A pleasant Sun/Moon trine just before midnight and Moon Neptune opposition at 1:10 a.m. tomorrow make the late evening a great time for divination as our psychic selves will be in tune with the collective unconscious. Dream on!
Wednesday 11/19
Moon enters Leo at 5:38 a.m., making today a day that demands to be noticed! It should be lots of fun, but watch out tonight as Venus moves to square Saturn at 9:22 p.m., creating tensions in relationships as differing values challenge and propel us to see things in a new dimension - or else!!
Thursday 11/20
A fiery, fun day as the Leo Moon trines Saturn at 8:57 a.m. helping us to see what fun hard work and dedication can be! Then the Moon opposes Jupiter at 10:51 a.m., and we get a chance to laugh at our attachments to those tiny egos of ours as we realize our divine connection to the universal pulse of life. Then, the Moon trines Mercury at 6:27 p.m. and we just have to talk and write and share all this groovy info with loved ones!
Friday 11/21
The Scorpio Sun will square the Leo Moon at 3:58 p.m. so the earlier part of today could be a little ornery if you let it. But the Moon will enter Virgo at 4:33 p.m. and the Sun enters Sagittarius at 10:48 p.m. as the day shifts away from the ornery and towards the more adaptable.
Saturday 11/22
The Virgo Moon squares Pluto at 3:10 a.m., so if you are still cranky this morning, just get busy and forget about it! The Moon will be trining Mars at 1:30 p.m., bringing with it an increase in productivity and gross profits.
Sunday 11/23
Mars and Chiron are sextile at 5:25 a.m., and the day wakes grinding its teeth, obsessing over the collective angst. This afternoon's Moon/Mercury square at 2:21 p.m. isn't gonna help, either. Don't let your critical, analytical abilities rip your world to shreds, ask instead what you can do to make it a better place!
Monday 11/24
The Moon enters Libra at 5:29 a.m. and today is just wondering what yesterday's problem was anyway! Lots of pleasant aspects and a chance to see beauty around every corner....
Tuesday 11/25
Libran lunar aspects abound. The a.m. may have its tensions with Moon square Mars at 6:41 a.m. ("but I LOVE sleeping late and enjoying cocoa in bed, do I HAVE to go out into the rat race and make a name for myself??! #@?"), and Moon oppose Saturn at 9:40 a.m. ("I just don't get it. When I have time for lovers I have no time for my own projects and vice versa. I don't know why I even try...boo hoo.").
The afternoon will be a little more optimistic with a lunar trine to Jupiter at 1:26 p.m. and this evening hosts a Moon/Venus square at 8:17 p.m., a good time for affection and nostalgia and perhaps a little overindulgence.
Wednesday 11/26
The a.m. will be clearheaded enough with a Moon/Mercury sextile at 9:36 a.m. but the afternoon could find us babbling incoherently as Moon squares Neptune, the master of illusion, then goes v.o.c., setting us adrift until she enters Scorpio, giving us a chance to confront our deepest, darkest fears for a few days!!
Thursday 11/27
Today looks like a great opportunity to confront your fears before they confront you. Open your heart to the universe and ask for a vision and let go of attachments to what that vision may be. What you need is never what you want anyway!!
Friday 11/28
Phew! Looks like a good day for a nap, and you deserve one after yesterday! Bask in the cozy glow that only death and rebirth can bring.
Saturday 11/29
The Moon enters Sagittarius at 3:28 a.m. and moves to conjunction with Pluto at 1:52 p.m., sextiles Uranus at 2:01 p.m. and is new at 6:14 p.m. A good day to listen to what your heart says about this new evolutionary journey you're on, gather the energy and spirit to maintain you on your voyage, and off you go with that New Moon cracking a champagne bottle on the bow of your beautiful ship!!
Sunday 11/30
More Sagittarian optimism today but Mercury will enter Capricorn at 11:12 a.m. bringing a more serious tone to words and deeds. How many more shopping days before X-MAS?! #@%$**&?
Monday 12/1
The Moon enters Capricorn at 10:38 a.m. and is conjunct Mercury at 12:11 p.m. "It's beginning to look a lot like f*#kin' X-MAS, everywhere I go." What's a pagan to do but dream of a peaceful Solstice and ignore the ugly consumer mayhem all around....
Tuesday 12/2
Well if you haven't guessed yet, you should know how little I care for the X-MAS scene. And today's Capricorn Moon square Saturn at 11:10 a.m. and Moon/Mars conjunction at 7:12 p.m. may just illustrate my point with their tendency towards greed and lusty materialism. But then again, maybe it will be like The Grinch Who Stole X-MAS, and everyone in Who-ville will enable the ugly cosmic grinch to access the true meaning of peace...ba-who-doray-ba-who-doray-welcome x-mas, x-mas day....
Wednesday 12/3
The Moon/Venus conjunction at 6:52 a.m. and Moon/Neptune conjunction at 12:29 p.m. make for a spaced out morning of guilty pleasures (because, of course, in Capricorn they feel they should be DOing something!). The Moon will cruise into Aquarius at 3:58 p.m. to energize the evening.
Thursday 12/4
Today won't be a day that tolerates insignificant details, so I won't bore you with 'em. There will, however, be lots of energy to win friends and influence people so get out there and make a difference.
Friday 12/5
Today's like yesterday, only better with the Sun/Saturn trine at 9:53 a.m. adding lots of grounded, hardworking energy to drive your creative desires! The Moon enters Pisces at 8:07 p.m., lending an introspective, metaphysical glamour to the evening.
Saturday 12/6
Today could feel a little hysterical. What with a Moon/Pluto square at 6:08 a.m., challenging our dreamy, escapist sorry a*# souls to get up and out and DO something to make our world a better place and Mercury being stationary, about to go retrograde tomorrow, making everything we attempt seem impossible! Don't look at me, if I had all the answers do you think I'd be here writin' this column or off advising all the crowned heads of Europe for the BIG $$$$???
Sunday 12/7
Well, like I said, Mercury is retrograde (and this doesn't mean he'll be wearing ill-fitting polyester tops, my friends!) at 8:56 a.m., wreaking havoc, mischief, and mayhem until the 27th of December - so get used to it and mail those X-MAS cards early because they'll probably end up on the island of misfit toys anyway!
What more can I say except the Moon enters Aries at 11:24 p.m. and moves to square demon Mercury at 5 a.m. tomorrow so if you're up late and wrestling with old, tradition bound ideas and bold, roguish, heartfelt desires put off any big decisions until later, O.K.?
Monday 12/8
It's 11:31 a.m. and Venus is conjunct Neptune, and can you guess which curtain reality is behind. Is it #1, #2...or is it just a big lie we've all been tricked into believing? Hmmm...and with this conjunction begins a new cycle of relating to spirit, dissolution of tired values and a chance to value people over possessions. Blessed be.
Tuesday 12/9
An energetic Aries Moon day, with Moon squaring yesterday's Venus/Neptune conjunction, a chance to see if humans really can embrace a peaceful, loving coexistence with all beings or if we're doomed to be self-centered f#*ks forever! Let's show this universe our truly beautiful potential!!!
Wednesday 12/10
Taurus Moon begins at 2 a.m. and proceeds to trine Mercury (who's retrograde) at 6:23 a.m., and we're cryin' in our corn flakes because we forgot to buy milk to put on 'em, and then she squares Uranus at 12:13 p.m., and we're so restless we'd quit our jobs, but we like all the money and security so we settle for a little goofing off instead!
Thursday 12/11
Today is probably not a good day for holiday shopping, unless you wanted to rack up a bunch of huge debts. Venus enters Aquarius at 8:39 p.m., so start thinking of how you could fit in some sort of volunteering this holiday season, you'll be glad you did!
Friday 12/12
Moon into Gemini at 4:35 a.m., and she's makin' all the aspects today! She'll trine Venus and ask "Hmm, how can I share my heart energy with others?" and she'll oppose Pluto and ask "How can reaching out to those less fortunate than me enrich the world spiritually?" Then she'll trine Uranus and the answer will zonk her upside the head and she'll forget there ever was a time when she didn't know._
Saturday 12/13
Mercury will stumble back into Sagittarius at 10:07 a.m., and there's the Gemini full Moon tonight. Also, I'd guess holiday spirits will be high and even Grinches like a certain astrological columnist I know will be feeling pretty terrific! Do be extra careful driving, as the Moon is moving to oppose Mercury early tomorrow morning, quite possibly heralding some automotive mishaps!
Sunday 12/14
The Moon enters Cancer at 8:25 a.m. and there are no more aspects all day. Why, if Mercury weren't retrograde (because he rules cooking and baking and all things alchemical), I'd say today was perfect to start that holiday baking. Oh, what the heck, just check those ingredient lists twice and double up on all timing devices and have fun!!
Monday 12/15
Uggg_. The day wakes up with a Moon/Saturn square at 8:37 a.m. and as we trudge through those obligations that just won't take no for an answer we ask, "Why does everything seem so darn hard today?"
Well, it's no wonder, and not just the Moon and Saturn's fault either. Mars and Neptune are conjunct at 9:19 p.m., and for a couple of days Mars, the god of energy and self-determination will be grappling with the big spiritual questions. His friends on Mt. Olympus will shake their heads and say "He just ain't his old self these days." Then he'll get it together when he volunteers at the food bank!
Tuesday 12/16
The Moon opposes the Mars/Neptune conjunction just after noon. I know I sound like an obsessed maniac, but this aspect speaks of giving your energy to help feed the hungry. There is no greater gift you can give yourself than to give to others.
The Moon will enter Leo at 2:58 p.m. and oppose Venus at 6:57 p.m., and the Sun will conjunct Mercury at 11:53 p.m. so maybe you want to go caroling at a women's shelter or an old folks home tonight and spread some joy!!
Wednesday 12/17
Ego energies run high with today's Leo Moon, but you all will be so busy making arrangements to give to the rest of humanity you probably won't even notice when Mars enters Aquarius at 10:37 p.m., shaking him from his Neptunian stupor as he's heard to shout, "I'm off to challenge the injustices of the patriarchy and create harmony for all!!"
Thursday 12/18
A silly, sweet Leo Moon day! Take a moment to laugh out loud at yourself!!
Friday 12/19
The Moon enters Virgo at 1 a.m., and the only aspects the next two days are Moon square Pluto at 1:38 p.m. today and a Moon/Mercury square at 6:23 p.m. tomorrow. Try not to be too critical of your or others' spiritual stumblings, nobody's perfect, that's why we're here, silly. And, hey, especially you Pluto in Virgo people (late 1950s-1971 or so), don't just sit around bellyachin' about the pre-apocalyptic world you're living in, go DO something to make it better. That's supposed to be our job, guys! Ask not what the universe can do for you, ask what YOU can do for the universe!!
Sunday 12/21
HAPPY SOLSTICE!!! And what a day! Sun enters Capricorn, the official moment, at 12:07 p.m. And we've got a last quarter Libra Moon, right after she enters Libra, at 1:43 p.m., and could we have asked for a day more lovely! Moon will trine both Mars and Venus this evening making for lots of socializing type energy!! Party down! Happy holidays, and see you next time!
