Handfasting Congratulations
Jennifer Dewey and Anthony Kendal were handfasted June 1, 1996, at Pendragons. The couple was ushered into a faery ring of cedar and ivy with a chorus of "Listen to the Lord and Lady," by the Pendragons Chant Circle. Over 50 guests attended the candlelight ceremony and sent the couple off with a blessing of deep peace. A feast and joyous Maypole dance followed the ceremony. Don Joseph and Lady Diane officiated at the handfasting.
Witches' Gift Registry
Pendragons now offers a witches' gift registry, the only one we know of, for your favorite couple soon to jump the broom. It's also a great idea for birthdays and holidays. Pendragons would love to keep your witch wishes on file.
Sylvan Grove Waxes and Wanes
Lady Sylvana, high priestess, and the Sylvan Grove wish to warmly welcome her new working partner and grove high priest, Wülfgar Gregarsson. It's about time!
Lady Sylvana and Wülfgar Gregarsson, along with coven members, wish to welcome the esteemed Bestia Mortale and Iris WaterStar as members of Sylvan Grove. You have supported the grove for over two years, and we thank you and honor you; we are thrilled to have you finally be a part of the "family"!
We also wish to publicly acknowledge, receive and welcome four recent dedicants to the Sylvan tradition: Cuchulaine Truthseeker, Iolassa, Starla and Trillium Green.
In addition, we regretfully announce that our long-time high priest Ash has taken a different magickal direction and has formally left the Sylvan Grove and tradition. We wish him blessings for all of his endeavors.
Other Grove members formally leaving the grove and the Sylvan tradition as of May 15, 1996, are A. Camille, Milo, Stargazr and Lethe. These individuals will no longer be associated with the Sylvan Grove or the Sylvan tradition and may claim no bonds or training.
Corrections and Apologies
Due to an editorial error, the wrong World Wide Web address for Widdershins has been printed in the last couple issues. We wish to correct this and apologize to Dedric or anyone else to whom this has caused problems, for all of the inconvenience.
Sorry! The actual address is: http://www.sexuality.org/~shs/widdershins/
This Web page has the text version of all of the issues, available for you to read or download; check it out and let us know what you think!
We'd also like to apologize to Pendragons for mistakes in their calendar copy last issue. Note that the store's hours are now Tuesday through Friday noon to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday noon to 5 p.m. For Pendragons events, see the current calendar.
Many Thanks
Due to an editorial error, the Widdershins copy editors and proofreaders for the last few issues did not get listed. They were: Pfenix Baste, Brighid, Iris, Konrad, Miriam and Peter. Many thanks and big hugs to all of you for your hard work, dedication and good catches. Without you, our copy wouldn't be nearly so clean.
Name Change
The writer formerly known as Levana Lindentree will now be writing under the name Melanie Fire Salamander. She promises to quit changing her name so often.
You Too Can Do This!
Widdershins continues to look for copy editors, proofreaders, desktop publishing experts, distribution helpers, artists, writers, editors, typists - in short, workers for just about every task associated with the paper. We're having so much fun, we've got to share it! Perks include semi-professional training, chocolate and deep appreciation. Possession of your own personal computer, knowledge of Microsoft Word 6 and/or Pagemaker 5 for Windows are pluses but not requirements. Call 363-7896 and ask for Sylvana.
