Crossroads Benefit; Yule Fest and Talent Show

Come enjoy fun for young and old alike, including early evening activities for children and late night fun for adults. For a small donation, you can join friends to help party in the Yule holiday and solstice with live music, amazing entertainers, seasonal singalongs, a Santa Lucia celebration, vendors, feasting and dancing. Bring a potluck dish to share. The fest runs 6 p.m. to midnight December 9 at Crossroads Learning Center, 1412 12th Ave., Seattle. For more information, call 325-8790.

Wanted: a few good acts!

The Greenwood Grove is looking for a few good acts. Do you sing, dance, play music, tell jokes, create funny skits or all of the above? We want you! Performers are needed for Greenwood Grove's 10th annual community talent show, combined with the Grove's Yule fest as a family fund-raiser for Crossroads Learning Center.

Crossroads has given a lot of support to the neo-pagan community, and participating in the talent show is a way to give back. The fest takes place December 9. If you're interested, leave a message for Cyndie at 789-3855.

Empower Widdershins

Support your local pagan press, and donate that old equipment that you no longer use. We are currently accepting donations of office and computer equipment: Four megabytes RAM for an IBM 486, 2 megabytes or more RAM for an Action laser printer, bookcases, file cabinets, office chairs, another computer (a 486?) that can at least run Windows and a word processing program, a full page scanner, a laser printer that can print on 11-by-17-inch paper, more fonts, more clip art, office supplies, laser printer paper and cash donations of all denominations will be cheerfully accepted.

Copy editors, proofreaders, typists, advertising representatives and delivery drivers (especially for Bellingham, Vancouver B.C., Everett, Tacoma, Olympia, Portland, Kent and Renton) are also sorely needed. Putting out this paper can be fun; we'd love to share some of that fun with you.

We'd deeply appreciate your support.
