Letters to the Editor

Dear Editors,

I wish to address Ash on the issue of morality.

"Moral" refers to the conscience, to one's sense of right or wrong. Specifically, it does not refer to what is right or wrong. This is the place where each individual chooses his or her path.

The Judeo-Christian ethical code (ethics being a system of moral principles or values) has been put forth as the moral code, which has confused and tormented large numbers of people. However, that is my own morality speaking.

Not only does morality have a place in the neo-pagan community, the practice is based on its own set of morals. One cannot have an ethical code without having morals.

Indeed, Ash, you do have morals, which you speak to well in your request for the readers "to be tolerant and open minded with others' customs."

Rejoice in the morals you have, Ash, for it has taken you your years and learning to develop them.

"Don't tread on me" may be the quote that could best suit your convictions.

Harmony and blessings,

AMO
